With winter well on its way, many of us are starting to wind down on our gardening. During winter many plants die off and trees lose their leaves, but prior to this is a great time to start to do some cut backs.
During the autumn months, you may want to give your garden one last overhaul to see you through till spring. Mowing the lawns, pulling up weeds and pruning will all help your garden be ready for the next year and will make that first gardening session a little bit easier.
If your grass has suffered over summer with limited water, being played on by children or simply swapped with equipment, then autumn is the perfect time to reach out the grass seed or lawn feed and fill in the bare patches. If you are putting grass seed down be sure to give it adequate amounts of water daily and to protect it from the birds by putting netting over the top, also keep trampling little feet off for a few weeks.
