Lots of people enjoy watching birds come and go in their garden. It may be that you have a beautiful garden but cannot seem to attract the birds. Birds often return to the same places so if they know that your garden can offer them food and safety then they are more likely to come back.

If you have a cat or dog then they may be putting the birds off, especially if they do tend to chase or catch them.

Having a bird feeder is the first way to attract birds of all varieties in. A bird table should be situated away from a window or door as too much movement may mean it is not used. Some people choose to hang bird feeders from a tree instead of a table as it provides more shelter and a more natural environment for the birds.

Be sure to read up about what foods to put out on your table or in your feeders. Many people opt for stale bread but this is not always the best food to give to birds.

As it is nesting season, birds will be looking for places they can set up home for a while. Having a bird box will make the perfect home for smaller birds.
