If you have children, you will probably find that especially during the summer months, your garden becomes a playground. It is very quick for a garden to become filled up with swings, slides trampolines and paddling pools. All of this equipment can be great to keep your children occupied during the summer evenings and weekends but can have an effect on your garden.
Grass not only needs water but also light and if light cannot get through for whatever reason, this will very often kill the grass. If the grass has been killed it can take months to get it to grow back and often it may not grow back fully until the next year.
If you have a large garden then you may want to turn part of it in to a play are for your children and possibly even dig up the grass and put bark down. This will allow you to have separate areas for garden and equipment so everyone has somewhere they can enjoy. Don’t forget dueing the summer months your garden may need to be watered if the days have been dry and there has been little rain fall.
