We often think about watering our plants inside and outside, but how many of us think about watering our grass?

Grass will often survive quite dry periods of weather and in the UK we do not often have to wait long for the rain to come, but if we do experience a week or more of dry weather then it is advisable to water your grass. If you have recently had new turf laid or have grown grass from grass seed, then it is even more important to ensure that you water it regularly, at least every other day, to ensure it survives.

The easiest way to water grass is by using a hose pipe with a sprinkler attachment. This will evenly distribute the water over the grass, rather than soaking one area. If you struggle to find the time to water the garden or simply forget, then it may be worth installing a sprinkler system which attaches to the water tap or pipe. You can often get sprinklers at a reasonable price, which can be set on a timer and that will also rotate to give an even coverage without having to think about it.
