Setting out your garden for the summer

With the warmer weather on the way, now is the time to start thinking about how to set your garden out to make it most enjoyable during the summer months. Many people have patio sets, barbecues or fire pits that they will want to make the most of but you need to think carefully about where you are going to put everything to make it most useful. A BBQ should ideally be located slightly away from the house and the edges of the garden as this will avoid smoke filling in to the house or the risk of hedges and fences catching on fire. To turf or not to turf – that is the question

So it’s time to overhaul your garden, you have a bare patch of land that you have cleared and levelled and it’s time to decide what to do with it. If you are wanting a lawn area then your three main options are to lay grass seed, turf or use artificial grass and there are pros and cons to each method.
